Traditional & New Minorities
This weekend we will look at both traditional minorities and new minorities. We will ask ourselves is there any difference in how we work together and are new minorities more open to Guiding and Scouting within their adopted country. We will also explore and share ways of including all minorities in our different activities.

We request you to bring information on Overture Network related projects from your local group and/or association to our meeting. We would like to ask you to prepare a small presentation. The topic of the upcoming meeting is "Traditional & New Minorities". We appreciate very much if you already have experiences in this field.
Overture!
The Overture Network is an informal network of Guides and Scouts that work with minorities in their associations. The focus of the Network is on multicultural and intercultural work. The meeting is a place that provides the opportunity to get and share basic methods, tools and examples that may be helpful for Guides and Scouts who are involved in intercultural activities.
The Network is open to all Guides and Scouts of the European Guide and Scout Region. The Network brings together the views and practices of those who are working in the field - leaders of branches or groups - that are able to give witness of their daily experience, but also those responsible on the national or regional level that can promote and multiply certain pedagogical or strategic policies.
The Network is voluntary and members of the network are not officially representing their associations. The networks activities are based on its member's needs and wishes, input of each member is very important. The network is headed by a steering group consisting of members of the network, who is in charge of the preparation of meeting with the hosting association.
The deadline to register was Sun, 25 September 2005! So please register as soon as possible! Furthermore, please check the organizational details, we will update the information on that page regularly until the meeting-weekend.
